AbitibiBowater has announced its decision to stop logging on the traditional territory of the Grassy Narrows First Nation. Rainforest Action Network welcomed the decision.

Posted: 29 April 2008 in Canada, Kimberly-ClarkA new report by Greenpeace documents Kimberly-Clark’s record of environmental destruction and social conflict in the Kenogami Forest in northern Ontario. Kimberly-Clark directly managed the forest for decades and the forest remains one of primary sources of raw material for pulp manufacture.
