Fast wood growth rates

One of the reasons why the pulp industry is expanding so rapidly in the Global South is that trees grow faster there. Here are some growth rate comparisons for different countries:

    What do you recommend as far as reliable sources for data on woody plant growth rates in SE? Has anyone looked at this? Hardwood species as well as pulp (pine) species?
